The new Standard Contractual Clauses - From theory to practice
The EU Commission has released their new Standard Contractual Clauses today. These are a vital tool to enable international data transfers.
We will look at the practical issues raised by the long awaited new Clauses. In particular, we will:
discuss the key new obligations under the Clauses,
consider what you need to do to review the laws of the data importer and how to analyse the effect of those laws, and
look at the process to repaper data transfers based on the old Standard Contractual Clauses.
