Overview

Anna Zmitrowicz is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat). She advises foreign and Polish clients on various acquisitions, divestitures, business transfers, carve-outs, joint ventures, spin-offs, strategic alliances, and business expansions of Polish entrepreneurs, as well as on general corporate and commercial strategies or compliance matters. Anna has successfully led a number of complex, high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions, including in particular private equity funds and industry investors. She leads clients through all stages of their investments and international transactions in a wide range of product and service sectors. Her corporate experience also involves all types of corporate reorganizations – both cross-border and domestic, in various sectors including IT, healthcare, finance, fashion, cosmetics, media and manufacturing (pre-transaction restructurings, post-acquisition integrations, non-transactional structure changes, cash repatriations), and other matters related to day-to-day legal maintenance of companies. She also has broad experience in providing legal advice in relation to international commercial transactions, including cross-border supply agreements, service agreements and M&A-related commercial cooperation arrangements.

Anna has advised in a number of transactions, including:

  • ArcelorMittal: advising a multinational steel manufacturing corporation headquartered in Luxembourg, on the acquisition of a Polish scrap metal recycling company, Złomex.
  • Astatine Investment Partners: advising a leading mid-market private equity firm with offices in the US and London, on the sale of Emitel, the leading television and radio broadcast infrastructure provider in Poland, to Cordiant Digital Infrastructure.
  • Bain Capital Credit: advising the leading global credit specialist on a joint venture agreement and ongoing cooperation with Corestate, a leading independent investment manager for real estate in Europe. 

Professional experience

Anna joined Linklaters’ Corporate/M&A team in 2022 and, since then, has been holistically combining transactional advice with a strong commercial background.

Before joining Linklaters, Anna worked in the Warsaw office of another reputable international law firm for 9 years.

Education and qualifications

Anna holds a master’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. 

Anna speaks Polish and English.
