Overview
Julian specializes in banking and insurance supervisory law, securities and investment law. Special focus on advising French banks and financial services providers on the interplay of German and French supervisory law and cross-border banking transactions.
Work highlights
His recent experience includes:
- Several international investment banks on their strategic considerations in light of Brexit in particular on licensing/European Passport issues, corporate governance and risk management as well as compliance and AML matters
- Apple Inc. on regulatory questions
- Erste Abwicklungsanstalt (EAA) on the disposal of assets of former WestLB (now Portigon)
- NORD/LB on their restructuring and recapitalisation
Professional experience
In 2013, Julian was a Bluebook trainee at the European Commission. He joined Linklaters as an associate in 2017 and became Managing Associate in 2021.
He was on secondment to Linklaters' Paris office in 2019 and has since worked for the regulatory teams in Paris and Frankfurt.
He is a member of the Franco-German Lawyers Association.
