The Corporate Criminal Offences (CCO) under the Criminal Finances Act 2017 have been in force since September 2017, but many companies are only now becoming aware of the increasing enforcement risk in respect of these offences. According to HMRC’s latest update, it has at least 13 live CCO investigations and a further 18 opportunities under review, across all sectors and sizes of business.
